Conditions of membership.
The Trustees of the British Neuroscience Association are responsible for admitting individuals into membership. Application for membership may be declined if, in the opinion of the Trustees, the individual does not meet the basic criteria for membership.
The BNA is a national neuroscience society and membership of the BNA is normally open to:
- British citizens who work in a recognised research institution or organisation in the UK, or in an equivalent institution or organisation overseas;
- Non-British citizens who work in a recognised research institution or organisation in the UK, but normally only for as long as they are based in the UK;
- Students currently enrolled part-time or full-time on courses at UK universities, and who have an active engagement with neuroscience research.
If you meet the basic criteria for membership Click here for an application form.
Students need to complete a Student Membership Declaration Form.
*Contact the BNA office to apply for the "retired member" rate.
Gift Aid
The British Neuroscience Association is a registered charity (1103852). Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give to the BNA, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your subscriptions go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.80 just so long as subscriptions are made through Gift Aid, and you are a UK taxpayer. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn't cost you a thing!
So if you want your subscription to go further, please Gift Aid it. Just complete this form and send it back to us.
