Brain Societies
FENSThe Federation of European Neurosciences Societies (FENS) first emerged in 1997/1998 to replace the European Neuroscience Association as the major protagonist for neuroscience teaching and research in Europe. All the European Neuroscience Societies, including the BNA, are constituent members, and meet together biennially at the hugely successful FENS meetings. Membership of FENS brings many benefits to BNA members, especially reduced registration fees to the FENS meetings and free online access to European Journal of Neuroscience. www.fens.org |

Research Councils UKGateway to Research On the 12th December 2012 the first phase of the Gateway to Research portal and dataset was released, a first step towards making public the research information that the Research Councils hold. This is a beta-system and a beta data-set and was demonstrated to the Minister of State for Universities and Science on 29 November 2012. A beta is an early release of the system to enable users to try them out under real conditions. This version has gone through robust testing in-house and is close in look, feel and function to how we envisage the final product. However, we wish to engage with users to ensure that the functionality and data we are delivering is what users want. www.gtr.rcuk.ac.uk |
