NEUROSCIENCE - SCIENCE OF THE BRAIN: An
Introduction for Young Students - now available electronically
in English, Mandarin
and Spanish
A new edition of the highly successful 'Brain Facts Booklet',
created by Richard Morris (Edinburgh) and Marienne Fillenz
(Oxford) in 1994, has been published and distributed FREE
to all members of the BNA. Primarily aimed at sixth form students
or first year undergraduates, Richard Morris has managed to
create a wonderfully neat and concise 'primer' of neuroscience,
touching on everything from development to drug addiction.
A number of leading neuroscientists in this country have risen
to the challenge and contributed a chapter describing their
field of expertise in a simple yet imaginative and visually
appealing way. Any sixth formers or new undergraduates uncertain
what to specialise in at university can't fail to be swayed
by this refreshing booklet!
As part of the BNA's commitment to teaching and widening
interest in neuroscience, we will be distributing a copy free
of charge to all schools and sixth form colleges in the UK
as well.
Further copies, either for teachers in schools or lecturers
teaching on university foundation courses can order additional
copies directly online (www.bna.org.uk/publications)
or by simply contacting the BNA Office (y.allen@bna.org.uk
; 0151 794 5449/4943)
The price is £5.99. Remember, the more you order, the
more you help the BNA!
