With the support of senior staff, the successful candidate will contribute towards the maintenance and enhancement of the University’s reputation for research, knowledge exchange, teaching and scholarship.

In particular, the successful candidate will support academic development and excellence within the Psychological Sciences Research Group, teaching and learning, and other aspects of knowledge exchange and/or knowledge transfer. Producing high quality outputs in line with the University’s strategic ambitions is a key expectation of the role. It is also expected that the post-holder will make a significant contribution to the continued advancement and profile of the PSRG in such areas as (but not limited to) Cognition/Neuroscience, Development/Ageing, Health, Occupational, and Sports and Exercise Psychology.

The post-holder will have a prominent profile in Psychological research and a very good track record in: securing research funding; producing high quality publications; generating outputs with demonstrable impact to society and the knowledge economy; supervising post-graduate research students; developing staff capacity and capability; teaching and learning. In addition, the post-holder will support building research capacity and capability with colleagues in the Department of Health and Social Sciences and within the PSRG.
