The Faculty of Science and Technology is a vibrant and productive environment with approximately 4900 undergraduate and post-graduate students, and 300 staff across six departments: Archaeology & Anthropology, Computing & Informatics, Creative Technology, Design & Engineering, Life & Environmental Sciences, and Psychology. The faculty provides a platform for growth and development in new and existing areas of research, generating additional research income and creating greater impact.

The Department of Psychology nurtures a vibrant research portfolio and positive learning culture in five areas: Social, Cognitive, Clinical, and Affective Neuroscience; Behaviour Change; Face Processing; Visual Cognition; Attention and Memory. We are keen to receive applications from candidates with backgrounds in any of the following: Cognitive Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology, Social Psychology or Cyberpsychology. At Faculty level there is expertise in psychiatric genetics and computational neuroscience and at departmental level, facilities supporting our teaching and research include mobile and static eye tracking, virtual environments, TMS, tDCS and an EEG laboratory. At institutional level, facilities will also include an MRI scanner for the new Institute of Medical Imaging and Visualisation.

This post is offered on a two-year fixed-term appointment to cover the career break of an established member of staff.
