For our Amsterdam office we are recruiting an Associate per September 1st, 2022, specifically for the Dementia Fund. The position is open for individuals with a strong scientific background and specific interest in neuroscience. About the role We are looking for an Associate (12-month contract) for our Dementia Fund. This person will be supporting the Dementia Fund team along the investment process. The essential tasks of the Associate are expected to be varied, and consist for example of: ? Sourcing interesting deal flow at academic institutions and Tech Transfer Offices; ? Initial screening and documenting of deal flow; ? Performing deep dives into one or more technology areas that could be of interest; ? Assisting in (scientific) due diligence on companies of interest; ? Maintaining relationships with strategic investors; ? Supporting along the deal process, including the relevant documentation. June 2022 What we expect ? A life sciences Ph.D. degree or equivalent scientific track record; ? Strong interest in and exposure to neuroscience is a plus; ? Previous experience in the life sciences industry is a plus; ? Demonstrable affinity for entrepreneurship or translating biomedical innovations into novel applications; ? Strong analytical skills; ? Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; ? Excellent oral and written communication skills. You can formulate analyses clearly to team members; ? The ability to work independently and form your own hypotheses; ? Flexibility, a strong motivation and self-organization; ? Prior experience in health care, tech transfer, venture capital or biotechnology would be a plus; What we offer ? A 12-month contract at one of the leading life sciences investors in Europe; ?
