This is an exceptional opportunity to join a flagship UK project team developing the next generation of brain implant devices with the aim of providing new treatments to epilepsy (www.cando.ac.uk).

You will assist in the fabrication of the brain implant devices and support efforts to improve their yield and quality. You would also be interacting with a large team of scientists and engineers on the project. Further responsibilities will include supporting the design, construction and testing of equipment within laboratory and cleanroom environments.

Qualified to HNC or Degree level in Science or Engineering, you should have a good background of working in science laboratories. You must be a team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and have a willingness to solve problems. Experience of working in an academic environment is desirable but not essential.

You will be based in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Newcastle University and have close links with the Institute of Neuroscience. We have been expanding strongly in recent years with increases in both research portfolio and students.

This is a full time, fixed term post available for the duration of 2 years.
