The salary will be paid at Clinical Research Fellow spine point 12, £36,675 per annum, plus £2,162 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be a fixed-term contract for 3 years.
This is a full-time post
We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working Clinical Trainee at Senior House Office or Specialist Registrar level who can work independently but also interact creatively within the team. The successful candidate will be part of a team working on developing and testing gene therapies aimed at treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The Clinical trial will involve patient ascertainment, consent and enrolment in the trial. No experience of molecular techniques is required other than a passionate curiosity about science and a commitment to develop and deliver new therapies for patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to undertake a laboratory-based gene therapy project to submit for a PhD or MD thesis in addition to the clinical trial.
The selection process will include a panel interview.
