New expert-led consensus to shape the future of MND drug discovery and development research

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellowship in Regenerative Neurology anchored at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic, Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS), University of Edinburgh.
The successful applicant will gain comprehensive clinical and research training whilst participating in a diverse range of specialist clinics and clinical trials (including for motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, early onset cognitive disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease).
For appropriate candidates, there are opportunities for pursuing a higher degree (PhD/MD). Supervisors can be drawn from the world-class Edinburgh Neuroscience community (rated 3rd in the UK for overall Research Power, REF2014), including investigators leading programmes in the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh permitting projects to be individually designed to suit research interests and ambitions.
This position will suit individuals motivated to pursue higher specialist training in clinical neurosciences, existing trainees from these specialties seeking out of programme experience, and trainees seeking post-CCT sub-specialist experience before applying for consultant positions. The successful fellow will be supported and mentored towards successful career progression tailored to their individual ambitions.
The role is grade AMN2 and attracts an annual salary of £33,131 - £49,091 for 35 hours each week.
Eligibility
Applications are open to motivated individuals eligible for, or engaged in, specialty higher specialist training in the UK (including MRCP or equivalent) in any field related to clinical neurosciences.
Candidates must demonstrate interest, awareness and empathy in the clinical evaluation of patients with common and rarer neurological disorders.
The appointment is a full time post available for 1 year in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. Deferred start dates will also be considered.
