The clinical trials manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and supporting clinical research studies and clinical trials within the Stroke research group of the Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology. The initial projects supported will include several multicentre academic clinical trials, including the ATTEST-2 trial funded by the Stroke Association and British Heart Foundation.
You will provide project management expertise and support to colleagues in the research team, ensuring that key aspects of the varied portfolio are delivered efficiently and to deadlines working with colleagues across a range of specialities. You will have excellent communication skills and will work closely with internal and external contacts, including healthcare workers, academic researchers, NHS R&D organisations, and funding bodies.
Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 7, £35,210 - £39,610 per annum.
This post is offered as full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available until 31 August 2020.
New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
