This is an exciting new post based in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. We are looking for someone to coordinate the activities of the newly established Institute for Neuroscience (IfN). We require someone to set up the administrative functions for this cross-disciplinary Institute, which aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research work in the field of neuroscience among the University Departments. 

The post will involve liaising with, and acting as the main point of contact for all interested parties in the ifN, developing and supporting long-term funding streams for the initiative, including philanthropy and grant funding, developing and maintaining an efficient administrative system for IfN. The post holder will also over-see the administration of a PhD programme in Neuroscience and assist with the administration of other interdisciplinary graduate programmes in Neuroscience. 

You should have experience working in a research-related role in higher education, industry, healthcare or government environment and experience of managing complex projects to deadlines. Good IT skills and experience of budget management and organising fundraising would be useful. A science degree or equivalent work experience is desirable. 

This post is offered part-time or full-time. 

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 30 months in the first instance
