About the Role

The post holder will provide professional administrative support to neuroscience education programmes delivered within the Centre and Institute and complement the work of the current programme administrative teams. Their work will support the expansion of various neuroscience programmes. They will work within established guidelines to ensure an efficient delivery of service, and to provide a positive contribution to the postgraduate (taught) and undergraduate student experience.

About You

You will have experience of planning and progressing activities with minimum recourse and experience of working with financial management systems and budget management. You will also have experience in student recruitment and support. Understanding of e-learning portals and associated teaching technology (eg Moodle, ECHO 360, Lecture Capture) and a good understanding of core student regulations and processes within the HE sector are desirable.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 350 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
