OVERVIEW: This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to take a pivotal role in developing magnetic resonance imaging / spectroscopy research at Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) - https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/cardiff-university-brain-research-imaging-centre

Part of the School of Psychology and one of Europe’s top facilities for brain imaging research, CUBRIC is housed in a state-of-the-art £44M building. Our mission is to improve our understanding of brain and behaviour in health and disease through advanced imaging and cognitive methods and in doing so we bring together world-leading expertise in brain mapping and physical sciences with the very latest in brain imaging and brain stimulation technologies.

You will lead both an independent research programme and the wider growth of imaging across Cardiff University. You will be a scholar of significant repute with a proven ability, or strong potential, to lead and develop internationally excellent research activity. You will work closely with internationally distinguished groups in CUBRIC.

You should be able to demonstrate an effective collaborative work ethic, the ability to attract independent research grant funding in open competition and a proven track record of high-impact publications.

This post is full time (35 hours/week), open ended and available immediately; Salary: a point on the Professorial payscale.
