This is a permanent graduate position based in Finchley, North London, paying £21k per annum.
Are you a science graduate who is keen to establish or further your career in STM publishing and scicomms? Could you apply your enthusiasm and scientific background in a fast-paced editorial environment? We're seeking an Assistant Editor to primarily support the Senior Editor in the management of our e-community designed for researchers and clinicians in the oncology field, plus support on our other e-communities focused on neuroscience and infectious diseases.
Key responsibilities will include:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's qualification in biomedical science, life sciences, pharmaceutical science or a related field at a 2:1 standard or above.
The ideal candidate would demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisation and time-management, strong communication skills, and should be keen to build a knowledge of publishing and scientific communications.
This is an ideal role to begin a career in STM publishing and scicomms, with full training given to the successful candidate. There will be ample opportunities for the successful candidate to develop quickly and assume responsibility for the content and future direction of our digital resources.
Salary increases linked to successful completion of probation (6 months as standard) and 1 year at the company.
