The Nuffield Department of Medicine is seeking an established senior research leader in the field of molecular pathology of neurodegenerative diseases, with an emphasis on Parkinson’s disease.

As a Principal Investigator you will provide academic and strategic leadership and will be expected to develop a programme of research activities through substantive experimental programmes, of which molecular-target specific validation must play a significant part. You will establish technical and neuroscience expertise complimentary to the existing strengths within the University and forge collaborative interactions across the University network that strive to translate findings between experimental platforms.

You will hold a PhD/DPhil, with significant experience at a senior level, including a demonstrable track record as a leading, internationally-recognised, researcher in molecular pathology of neurodegenerative diseases.

A strong record of independently obtaining competitive, external grant research funding and evidence of providing strategic and scientific leadership are prerequisites.
