The post available is:
Lecturer in Adult Nursing – Stroke/Neuroscience
This post is based across the two campuses that deliver nursing education and research (Magee and Jordanstown).
Post is available on a full-time, part-time or secondment basis
The purpose of the post is to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching, research and other scholarly activities in nursing at undergraduate and post graduate levels and contribute to the University’s key goals as outlined in the 5 and 50 Strategic Plan and associated Faculty and School Plans. The post holder will also be involved in the preparation of pre-registration nurses in adult nursing and will have input into other undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the School, with a particular focus on stroke nursing post-registration programmes.
Staff appointed are responsible to the Head of School/Associate Head of School for the satisfactory performance of their duties. All staff are expected to contribute to the range of activities within the School.
A waiting list will be held for posts which may become available in the next 12 months.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to make a ten minute presentation at interview. The topic will be:
The University, under the 5 and 50 strategic plan, has a clear focus on academic excellence. Identify how your current profile aligns with academic excellence and outline key objectives for your first three years as a lecturer in nursing.
The University is committed to developing all employees and operates a Developmental Appraisal Review (DAR) which is mandatory. You will be required to meet with your manager at least once every two years as part of the DAR process. If you have line management responsibility for other staff you will be required to conduct a DAR meeting with your staff at least once every two years.
