Lancaster University has a world-class reputation as a centre for excellence in teaching and research. The Division of Health Research (DHR) within Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Mental Health to join an innovative department with a high quality research active environment offering a range of postgraduate and undergraduate courses.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to consolidate an already strong research profile in line with the priorities and interests within the Division. In particular there will be excellent opportunities to pursue psychological research into bipolar disorder, psychosis and related conditions through the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research. The Spectrum Centre (led by Professor  Steve Jones and Professor Fiona Lobban) has an international reputation for excellence in its work in developing and evaluating new psychological interventions (face to face and digital) for severe mental health issues. You will also support the expansion of our newly developed blended learning PhD in Mental Health.

You must have a good degree in a psychology (or relevant discipline) and a PhD/DClin in psychology and an excellent understanding and expertise in quantitative research designs, methods and analysis. You should also be able to deliver high quality and engaging teaching at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Ideally, you will have previous experience of distance learning.

If you are an energetic, dynamic, self-directed and committed individual with an interest in continuing to develop your research and teaching in the area of mental health then we welcome your application. This is an indefinite post, available on a full-time or job-share basis (more than one post holder delivering in total 1.0 WTE). If you wish to apply on a job share basis this must be stated on the application. Applications are welcome from UK, EU and other overseas applicants.
