The Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, University of Wolverhampton is seeking to employ to a permanent contract post of Lecturer in Psychology. They are currently recruiting an individual with expertise in the area of cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or biological psychology, with the ability to support teaching in cognitive or biological psychology.

 

They seek an enthusiastic colleague with expertise of working, teaching and researching in cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or biological psychology to work with a range of students across our programme portfolio.  You will be expected to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes relevant to your area of expertise and within the BPS core curriculum. They have a new undergraduate curriculum that is fresh, inclusive, and interconnected. You will form a major part of the team in further developing this innovative design. You will also be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects and dissertations in your area of expertise. 

 

You will join the supportive and collegiate School of Psychology that has been expanding in the last academic year to meet the demands of growing courses. The School is a dynamic and ambitious team which has a clear focus to deliver an exceptional research inspired student experience. They have a strong research presence within our Centre for Psychological Research, and you will be mentored in relation to your research plans for the near and distant future. The school has extensive experimental research labs, expertise in both statistics and qualitative research and a community of PhD and Prof Doc students. Following on from the REF submission the school has also received investment in new research equipment to facilitate development of our research in cognition and neuroscience, as well as investment in PhD students and research assistants.
