Psychology at York is seeking to appoint three new lecturers. We welcome applications in any field that complements or extends our existing strengths and takes advantage of the University’s interdisciplinary research-led environment.

The Role

  • Develop research programmes, projects, and proposals for external funding.
  • Lead on, and contribute to, the publication of original research and the production of other research outputs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality teaching and supervision.
  • Seek opportunities to operate across disciplinary boundaries and to forge collaborations within and outside the Department.
  • Contribute to management and administration as requested by the Head of Department.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

You will hold a PhD in psychology or a related field and experience in research leading to high quality scientific publication. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for developing and delivering teaching programmes. You will be willing to work with colleagues across the institution and to contribute to the university’s collaborative ethos.
