Led by an ambitious research and development strategy, we are seeking to build on our established strengths. As part of this initiative, the School of Life and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint two new colleagues who will contribute to the research and teaching profile of Psychology at Aston University.

Candidates for the Lectureships in Psychology may be in the early stages of their academic career but must be able to demonstrate an established track record of research excellence and publications appropriate for their stage. Candidates should also demonstrate a track record in securing research funding, or potential to attract such funding with a clear ambition to develop internationally excellent activity. Candidates should have some experience of undergraduate or postgraduate teaching.

We are seeking to make one appointment to contribute to teaching activities in cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, and one appointment to contribute to teaching activities in social and health psychology.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the necessary teamwork skills to foster collaboration with existing colleagues and to build links both within the University and externally, and the attitude and ability to engage in continuous professional development.

Members of the Psychology Department belong to either the Applied Health Research Group (AHRG) or the Cognition & Neuroscience Research Group (CNRG).
