The University of Glasgow Institute of Neuroscience & Psychology are looking to recruit a neuroscientist with an outstanding track record of research in spinal pain and/or itch circuitry and the potential to lead an internationally competitive programme of work within the Spinal Cord Group in the Centre for Neuroscience.
The appointment will be at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, dependent on credentials. The candidate’s research programme should align with the strategic objectives of the Centre for Neuroscience and bring new and complementary expertise to the Spinal Cord Group. The Centre has excellent research facilities that are well-equipped for in vivo and in vitro electrophysiology, neuroanatomical studies and cell and molecular biology. Operating theatres and a behavioural testing suite are available in the nearby animal facility. The successful applicant will have excellent opportunities for collaborating with neuroscientists in the Spinal Cord Group, the Institute and the College as well as with Pain Clinicians.
