About the Role:

The Neurology Account Manager will develop commercial relationships with relevant stakeholders and decision-makers in order to maximise the promoted product’s availability, access and sales within assigned key accounts & hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, establish and maintain contacts to Neurologists/Paediatric Neuropsychiatrist Pharmacists and other relevant personnel dealing with paediatric and adult epilepsy to win them as customers and prescribers
  • Assess, establish and maintain relationships with formulary decision-makers and influencers in accordance with the overall territory and country sales strategy
  • Interact and communicate with the customers on a regular basis to receive useful market intelligence data (protocols, habits new clinical trials, competitive landscape)
  • Promote the product within legal boundaries according to GW’s marketing and sales strategy to reach agreed targets
  • Represent GW Pharma at national and international events and congresses, when needed, and maintain a positive image of the company with relevant customer groups
  • Plan, organise and execute local educational sessions for relevant healthcare professionals
  • Timely and complete reporting to senior positions and accurate maintenance of the CRM database and account plan
  • Actively look for cross-functional collaboration, both within the country and the European Launch Team. Work in close collaboration and in full transparency with the MSL and other GW personnel
  • Collect and report pharmacovigilance information according to internal SOPs
  • Observe data protection law according to GW policy and follow GW SOPs and compliance policies
  • Maintain oversight & intervene when necessary regarding the practical organisation of the sales & logistics (order taking, delivery, assistance, invoicing, stock levels in hospitals, etc.) in coordination with GW supply and logistics team

Requirements:

  • Strong Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Life Science Degree or proven strong scientific background
  • Demonstrated track record of successful product revenue launch and/or growth within a specific territory
  • Comprehensive understanding of the funding flows that enable prescription of orphan disease medicines & knowledge of how to ensure product availability in key prescribing centres
  • Proven ability to elaborate and implement an account/territory planning
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts
  • Demonstrated track record of formulary negotiation and product inclusion within local/hospital formulary
  • Ability to work effectively, independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment on a consistent basis
  • Ability to gain consistent access and develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers and academic centres
  • Effective country language verbal and written communication skills and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in English
  • Microsoft Office experience is essential (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Reporting CRM Tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of country Pharmaceutical regulations and laws
  • Ability to travel within the territory on a regular basis which may include some overnight and weekend travel. Also, be available to attend National & International meetings & congresses
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Promotion experience in Orphan Area is desirable
  • Promotion experience in Neurology is desirable
  • Promotion experience in Epilepsy is desirable
