Neuroscience Group Leader Position

to expand the Berlin interdisciplinary neuroscience community within the Cluster of Excellence ‘NeuroCure’.

We are seeking applications from outstanding postdoctoral researchers in molecular neurobiology for an independent group leader position. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in single cell imaging, patch-seq, single cell sequence analysis, single cell optogenetics or subcellular optogenetics, but outstanding candidates working in all neuroscience areas will be considered.

MDC researchers benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure including modern “omics” and imaging facilities and from a highly collaborative and vibrant scientific environment within the MDC, the Cluster of Excellence ‘NeuroCure’ and with its partner institutions in the Berlin region. The MDC is committed to translating scientific knowledge into improvements in clinical practice in collaboration with the Charité university hospital and with the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH).

The offered independent group leader position includes generous funding for 5 years with an option for extension or tenure upon evaluation.
