Job Details
Applicants are invited for two Non-Clinical Lecturer in Neuroscience posts within the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The post-holder will be expected to make a unique contribution to the intellectual life of the Institute/Centre and the wider institution. The Lecturer will be expected to make significant contributions to student education, delivering high-quality teaching in the subject area of neuroscience, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The Lecturer will have a particular research focus and impact to the Centre; current present areas of excellence include neurotrauma, neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration and neurogastroenterology, but other research areas which could strengthen the Centre research profile will also be considered.
Person Criteria
Applicants will have a PhD in Neuroscience and/or relevant professional qualification and will have a demonstrable track-record of high-quality research in the field of neuroscience at a national and international level, including publications in impactful and renowned journals. They will have significant experience of developing research proposals, bidding for and securing external research funding, and effective award management skills. The post-holder will have clear and ambitious plans for future research and an enthusiasm for making constructive contributions to the vision and leadership of the Institute/Centre and Queen Mary University of London.
