PhD 'Focus on Circuit Neuroscience' Max Planck

Closing Date
15 Nov 2017

The Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology welcomes students of life sciences and medicine who would like to conduct their research for their bachelor, diploma, masters or PhD degree at the institute. Application through our Graduate Programs are strongly encouraged. In case of a direct application, please explain in detail the reasons why you would like to work in your group of choice. Your application should also include a possible starting date, your CV and possible letters of reference. Direct applications are sent to the respective principal investigator (PI).

Please note that Max Planck Institutes do not award a PhD degree. PhD students at the institute therefore have to be enrolled at a university, too. Once you have agreed on a project with your future supervisor at the institute, we are happy to assist you with any formalities. All directors of the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology are also members of the faculty of biology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU): www.en.uni-muenchen.de

Our research groups are part of the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Life Sciences: From Biological Structures to Neural Circuits (IMPRS-LS), the Graduate School for Systemic Neuroscience (GSN-LMU) and the International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry (IMPRS-TP).
