TheClinical NeuroImaging Research Core (CNIRC),at the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is recruiting for a post-doctoral researcher (PhD) to conduct multimodal imaging and neurophysiological research within the Clinical Research Center on the main NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. The Core conducts structural and functional imaging studies in human subjects using MRI, fNIRS, as well as EEG. CNIRC’s research broadly focuses on the neural determinants and consequences of alcohol with emphasis on brain systems related to motivation, emotion, decision-making, and effects of drug and behavioral treatment. Position will be available starting from the Summer of 2019 for an individual with a strong background and interest in cognitive neuroscience and brain imaging.

Strong cognitive neuroscience experience in structural and/or functional image analysis is essential. Familiarity with computer programming, real-time neuroimaging, imaging genetics, and/or psychophysiological data collection and analyses are important pluses. Ideally, candidates will have a background in addiction research and a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or equivalent. Salary will be set commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
