The successful applicant will design and lead novel brain imaging research at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging. The research focus shall include deepening our understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders using a mix of animal models and human brain imaging research.

The postholder will be required to develop ideas for new research programmes; apply for and generate external funding to support those programmes. It will be expected that the postholder provide guidance, support, and training, as required, to staff and students who may be involved with the research activities. In the context of the work above and resources available, with the support of the laboratory and supervisor, prepare for appropriate career advancement.

A PhD/DPhil, and significant postdoctoral experience, in a relevant research area is essential as well as training in neuroscience and biomedical imaging. The postholder will need to possess an excellent academic track record with strong collaborative networks in rodent models of neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience of working with clinical populations and pulse programming of diffusion sequences on preclinical MRI platforms would prove beneficial.

The post is full-time for a fixed-term until the 27 April 2022 in the first instance.
