Short Description
An exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering biomedical research institute, dedicated to innovation and science.
A postdoctoral research post in the laboratory of Florencia Iacaruso is now available. We are looking for an outstanding researcher to combine in vivo imaging and in vitro electrophysiological methods in brain slices to study the organization of midbrain circuits underlying perception and behaviour. The successful applicant will have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related field, and a track record of publications. Experience in electrophysiological recordings in brain slices and competence on data analysis are essential. Demonstrable programming skills are desirable.
The successful candidate will take a lead in the project, designing and implementing experiments and working collaboratively with other members of the lab to achieve the aims of the project and produce publications and presentations on the research. As a member of the lab, you will have access to resources and facilities from the Crick Institute and will benefit from the lab’s expertise in in vivo neuronal recordings and the study of the synaptic organization of neuronal circuits underlying perception. Located in the centre of London, the lab is part of a thrilling neuroscience community.
