Applications are invited for the post of Professor of Neuroscience at the Royal Veterinary College. The successful applicant will play a leading role in enhancing the College’s growing international reputation in research in the neuroscience that underpins CNS function in health, ageing and disease. The post holder will be expected to foster partnerships with leading medical institutions internationally to enable an interdisciplinary approach to research that tackles pressing issues in neuroscience, such as healthy brain ageing. The College strongly supports translational research using relevant models including veterinary patients.

The appointee will be expected to show innovation in the integration of their research findings into our teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. They will be happy to work within multidisciplinary teams to add value to basic and clinical research programmes of others at the College, and to help develop the careers of more junior researchers.

We encourage applications from candidates with a good first degree and PhD in a relevant discipline, and an eminent track record in research outputs and grant successes in the neuroscience field.
