The tasks include the appropriate representation of the subject area in research and teaching. Applicants should have an independent molecular biology research profile in the area of psycho-neuroimmunology and endocrinology of stress-related diseases and must be internationally known. In-depth knowledge of psychometric and biometric methods are expected. Cooperation with the working groups of the department, for example in the area of traumatic disorders, the effects of flight and migration and psychooncology as well as other subjects / areas of the medical faculty is expected.

It is expected to work in the corresponding research groups of the Faculty of Medicine [special research areas, graduate colleges, interdisciplinary center for clinical research, top cluster Medical Valley, Graduate School in Advanced Optical Technologies (SAOT)] and special programs at the University Hospital (eg Comprehensive Cancer Center). The faculties of the Faculty of Medicine include human medicine, dentistry, molecular medicine, medical process management and speech therapy.

Recruitment requirements are a completed college degree, pedagogical aptitude, which is special proficiency in scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and beyond additional academic achievements. The latter are documented by habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements, which may also have been carried out in an area outside the university or in a junior professorship.

On a temporary basis for a period of five years. A subsequent appointment to the professor for lifetime is generally possible if the legal requirements are met.
