The UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) is the biggest UK initiative driving forward research to fill this gap. The UK DRI Care Research & Technology centre, based at Imperial with close collaboration with Surrey, brings together a diverse team of doctors, engineers and scientists who together can harness recent advances in artificial intelligence, engineering, robotics and sleep science to create new technologies that will deliver the highest quality dementia care in the home. Researchers are investigating new ways to keep people independent in their homes, improve their general health and sleep, and reduce confusion and agitation. Their work is guided by people with dementia and their caregivers, focusing on issues that cause the most problems.

The UK DRI Care Research and Technology Centre (CR&T) are looking for a motivated, engaged, enthusiastic Quality Administrator to join the team at Imperial College London and the University of Surrey. You will be based in White City at Imperial College London and will support a passionate, enthusiastic and supportive team. This team use technology to help prevent hospital admission for people with dementia. Their aim is to help ensure people with dementia can live, with a good quality of life, in their own homes for as long as possible.

They are recruiting a Quality Administrator to provide high-quality, effective administrative support to the team responsible for our CE/UKCA marking. UK DRI CR&T are working towards CE and UKCA mark. A CE mark indicates that we conform with European health, safety, and environmental protection standards. A UK CA mark indicates that we conform to UK Conformity standards within Great Britain.

 

Duties and responsibilities

They require a Quality Administrator to work alongside our Project Manager and Quality Director to ensure document management systems within the Centre are maintained and updated. You will assist the Project Manager and Quality Director with internal auditing and daily maintenance/review of the quality system processes within the Centre to ensure compliance and will work to suggest improvements to our quality management system.

To perform the role effectively, you will have excellent attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator, you will be well organised with a strong desire to deliver excellent work. The Quality Administrator will make an impact every day by enabling the Centre to operate efficiently and effectively towards the UK DRI vision for a world where research conquers dementia.

 

Essential requirements

You should be educated to A level or equivalent.

You should have evidence of administrative experience.

Ability to assess priorities, organise workload without direct supervision, and initiate action where appropriate.

Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
