The successful candidate will assist and support the Clinical Hearing Sciences research team in carrying out academic research which includes literature searches, developing questionnaires, conducting surveys, carrying out analyses and tests and drafting of reports. The established team, led by Prof David Baguley, focuses on research into hearing and balance problems associated with chemotherapy and of COVID-19, and the treatment of tinnitus.

Candidates must have a degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline e.g. health sciences, psychology, neuroscience or audiology, and formal training in quantitative research methods. Some practical experience of systematic reviews is essential as is experience of research data collection and manipulation and of supporting complex projects.  Candidates should also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.  An interest in hearing impairment is desirable.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract full time (36.25 hours per week) until the 30th November 2022. An extension may be possible dependent on the availability of funding. Applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
