We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Researcher to work on the "Computational Modelling of Dementia Progression" project.

The aim of this project, which is a collaboration between Newcastle University and Korea University, is to develop more accurate dementia progression models that can inform diagnosis and treatment of patients using neuroimaging (MRI and PET) data.

Your objectives would be to observe brain network features of dementia patients and how these features change with disease progression; to develop computational models of how structural and functional connectivity change over time; to test whether the models can reproduce the actual progression; and to test different hypotheses about the underlying causes of brain network changes.

You will have a PhD, or be nearing completion, in Computational Biology or a related subject. Prior experience in the neurosciences is desirable.

You will possess good communication skills, very strong dynamics modelling skills, and have a track record of previous peer-reviewed journal publications. You will have experience with neuroimaging and/or computer simulations. The position will involve visits to our collaborators in South Korea and at other centres.
