An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Research Assistant to work with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research Group. The post is funded by the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), the Rosetrees Foundation and the Former EMS charity to study feeding and eating disorders related research in children and young people.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To assist with the collection and analysis of data
  • To ensure the validity and reliability of data at all times
  • To maintain accurate and complete records of all findings
  • To assist with the writing of reports to research sponsors
  • To present findings to colleagues
  • To provide advice to other staff and students
  • To assist with the publication of findings
  • To attend relevant workshops and conferences as necessary
  • To develop contacts within the College and the wider community

 

Essential requirements

  • Masters’ degree (or equivalent) in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related subject
  • Experience of research in or with clinical settings
  • Previous experience in a research laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of experimental approaches to psychological research
  • Knowledge of basic research methods and statistical procedures
  • Knowledge of general laboratory practice, techniques and instrumentation
