We have a new and an exciting Research Assistant/Associate job opportunity to work on two funded studies. The position will focus on developing a multi-modal neuroimaging method to measure gait in ageing and neurodegenerative disease (Study 1). You will have an active role in applying advanced imaging methods to process and evaluate dynamic PET and MRI imaging data. We will also be collecting movement and muscle activity data so a strong interest in signal analysis is an advantage. Study 2 investigates the safety and tolerability of a novel vagus nerve stimulation in people with Parkinson’s and its effects on discrete gait characteristics underpinned by the cholinergic system. We are looking for a highly motivated and an ambitious individual. Experience within Parkinson’s disease or other related neurodegenerative diseases or neuropsychological experience is appreciated.
