Two enthusiastic and highly motivated post-doctoral scientists are required for a Wellcome Trust funded study of the form and function of neural networks that mediate visually driven behaviours in larval zebrafish. The post holders will join the group of Dr Martin Meyer in the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, King’s College London (https://devneuro.org/cdn/group-overview.php?groupID=67 ) and the project will make extensive use of in vivo imaging, zebrafish transgenesis and analysis of behaviour. The post holders will be involved in developing tools and techniques for the analysis of large and complex imaging and behaviour datasets and/or will develop methods for the selective labelling and manipulation of visual circuits. The post holders will benefit from state-of-the-art imaging facilities, technical support and the intellectual environment and friendly and interactive culture of the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. The candidate will have, or be close to completing, a PhD and a genuine interest in neuroscience. Independence, motivation, good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team are required. Experience in imaging techniques, image analysis, molecular biology and zebrafish are desirable but not essential. Candidates with training and/or experience in computational or theoretical neuroscience, physics, computer science or statistical analysis of large datasets and an interest in the subject area are encouraged to apply.
