This UKRI-funded post provides an opportunity to join University of Bristol/RIKEN Center for Brain Science collaborative project using a suite of electrophysiological, behavioural, and inducible genetic methods to perform systems-level analysis of memory mechanisms. The post will initially be based in Bristol, but incorporates exciting opportunities to work with the team in Japan.

The successful candidate must hold a PhD (awarded or imminent) in a neuroscience-related discipline. Experience of multi-channel neurophysiological recordings and analyses is preferable. The project is centred on study of limbic-cortical interactions in mouse models, but candidates will be encouraged to incorporate their own research experience and ideas. Candidates with expertise in optogenetics are particularly encouraged to apply.
