Essential Criteria
1. Postgraduate degree at PhD level in a related subject area or relevant industrial experience
2. An established expertise and proven portfolio of research and/or relevant industrial experience within the following research fields:
i. Murine Placental Development
ii. Behavioural assessment of murine models
iii. Genomic Imprinting
3. Knowledge of current status of research in specialist field: Epigenetics and Fetal programming
4. Proven ability to publish in national journals
5. Proven ability to be successful in competitive research funding
6. Proven ability in effective and persuasive communication
7. Ability to supervise the work of others to focus team efforts and motivate individuals
8. Proven ability to demonstrate creativity, innovation and team-working within work
Desirable Criteria
9. Experience of bioinformatics analysis of RNAseq data
10. Experience of murine surgery, cross-fostering, dietary models
11. A willingness to take responsibility for academically related administration.
12. Fluency in Welsh, written and oral.
