As a Research Associate / Research Fellow, Neurosciences, you will contribute to the coordination of multiple research projects under the direction of the Professor of Neurotrauma, including supervising students and research assistants at a technical level and contributing to study design. 

Located at the Sarich Neuroscience Research Institute at Western Australia's Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre, your responsibilities will include contributing to the drafting of grant applications for the area and writing manuscripts and animal and human research ethics applications. This unique opportunity may also enable you to develop your own research projects, both independently and/or as part of a team. 

Progress towards a doctoral qualification combined with a neurosciences background and broad experience across applications is essential.

Practical experience with microscopy, immunohistochemistry, behavioural work and animal handling is paramount to your success in this position and experience in cell culture and protein analysis is also highly regarded.

Evidence of your ability to write research papers and produce high quality research outputs is required. Experience successfully supervising research students would be advantageous.
