Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in Professor Robin Franklin's laboratory at the Wellcome Trust-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, Department of Clinical Neurosciences.

This position is aimed at an experienced molecular biologist/viral vectorologist and will join the group of Professor Robin Franklin to undertake research in to the use of viral vectors as tools in the study of adult CNS stem cells and their response injury, regeneration, and ageing.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology. They will also have knowledge of cell culture, molecular biology and experience in viral vector design and manufacture

We seek an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher preferably with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to be able to work in multidisciplinary teams involving physicists and biologists who is committed to work contracted hours flexibly in order to meet scientifically determined measurement time points.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 January 2022 in the first instance.
