2024 BNA Scholars announced
15th March 2024
We invite applications for a research fellow post in the Division of Psychiatry.
The goal of the initiative is to exploit computational approaches to behaviour to leverage insights into core deficits that underpin psychotherapeutic interventions for depression such as behavioural activation. The project is focused on combining longitudinal online or smartphone human cognitive and affective function measurements with computational modelling.
Main duties involve developing robust, reliably and clinically useful tasks and other measurements to robustly assess the impact and to predict the efficacy of psychotherapeutic interventions for depression at an individual level.
The post holder must have a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology or a quantitative field with experience in the treatment of mental illnesses, particularly psychotherapy for depression.
Experience of theoretical and computational neuroscience in relation to learning and decision making is essential for this role, as well as strong mathematical and programming skills.
