The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,328 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The Molecular Neurosciences Section of Developmental Neurosciences at the GOS-Institute of Child Health has a strong research interest in neurological disorders of childhood, particularly in movement disorders and epilepsy. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out cell culture, cell reprogramming, neuronal differentiation and other laboratory-based experiments to further study disease mechanisms using patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) neuronal systems to model early-onset childhood neurological disorders.
This post is available for 4 years in the first instance.
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant subject. Prior knowledge and extensive laboratory experience of iPSC-based neuronal modelling of human disease. High quality academic research, publications in preparation or already published in high impact internationally refereed journals.
