Based in the Edinburgh University Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences, you will be part of a team investigating the role of protein synthesis in neurodevelopmental disorders. The work will include biochemical and molecular characterization of neuronal populations isolated from mutant mouse models, with the potential for further electrophysiological and behavioural analyses.
This post requires relevant experience in Neuroscience research, with a PhD either obtained or expected within 6 months of the start of the contract. The applicant must have experience with molecular biology and biochemistry. Applicants with experience with analysing transcriptomic RNA-seq or related datasets and/or bioinformatics processing are particularly encouraged to apply. This is a full-time post for a fixed term of 24 months.
