We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Technician to support an exciting collaborative research project between Aclipse One Inc and a dynamic research team at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN).
Your main responsibilities will be to assist with running experiments to evaluate the potential of novel compounds to cross the blood brain barrier and activate transcription factor pathways to support the further development of these compounds towards human testing. You will learn a number of cutting edge techniques and your role will be embedded in a very dynamic research group.
You should have a degree in biological sciences (or equivalent experience) ideally within a Neuroscience related discipline. The ideal candidate will have experience of in vivo models and their assessment using a range of techniques including imaging and analysis of tissue using qPCR, western blotting and immunohistochemistry. You will assist with running in vivo experiments and ideally hold a Home Office personal license.
