Location: Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford
Applications are invited for a senior postdoctoral researcher to work within the research groups of Professor Elizabeth Tunbridge and Professor Paul Harrison. The post is based in the Neuroscience Building in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
This post is for a fixed-term (funded for 3 years).
You will integrate information from a variety of sources (e.g. genomic data, open-access datasets, and scientific literature) to identify, prioritise, and research molecular targets that may be relevant to the treatment and/or pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders. You will develop and establish appropriate experimental protocols and techniques needed to support the research. The role will involve liaising and collaborating with researchers across a number of University departments, Centres and Institutes, as well as with external academic and industry partners.
You will have a PhD and have completed relevant postdoctoral research. With a strong publication record, you will have familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field, a collaborative ethos and knowledge and experience of a broad range of techniques relevant to translational research. Experience of managing a research budget/bringing in funds via grant applications would be desirable.
