Job Description

Provide technical and administrative support to a neurobiology laboratory that studies cortical plasticity using computational and mouse models. Communicate with the Institutional Care and Use Committee (IACUC) administrators to ensure compliance, construction and maintenance of electrophysiological recording and computer equipment. Implement best practices to maintain a mouse breeding colony. Routine equipment ordering and bookkeeping. Provide direct experimental support including assisting in the running of experiments, tissue preservations and sectioning, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and data analysis.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Biology Neuroscience, Psychology, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or related.
  • At least one year of experience working in a Neuroscience lab required.
  • Experience with computational neuroscience, differential equations, and programming strongly desired.
