The Research Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology (NPP) at UCL is internationally-renowned for its fundamental research that incorporates cellular, molecular and systems-based studies of neurotransmitter receptors and ion channels, neurophysiology, neural networks, and associated signalling pathways. 

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint a Senior Teaching Fellow to teach neuroscience and pharmacology on the BSc/MSci/IBSc/MBBS programmes run by the UCL School of Life and Medical Sciences. 

The successful candidate will teach on undergraduate programmes, organise modules, and assist the convenor(s) of the BSc, MSci and Integrated BSc programmes. 

The role requires the preparation and delivery of lectures, practical classes and tutorials, the design and assessment of exams, a continued appraisal of our teaching methods, and the supervision and assessment of dissertations, in basic/ intermediate/ advanced neuroscience and pharmacology.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant subject, will possess demonstrable sound knowledge of neuroscience and pharmacology and of learning and teaching technologies, and will be experienced in teaching to large and small groups.

Holding a postgraduate certificate in Teaching or other teaching qualification is desirable.
