Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Fellow Academic Practice (Trauma Sciences) within the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

The Blizard Institute now wish to consolidate their highly successful teaching delivery in Trauma Sciences by adding the role of Teaching Fellow Academic Practice to the programme team for the distance learning MSc programmes in Trauma Sciences, Trauma Sciences Military and Humanitarian, and Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences. This post would operate at a junior academic level, assisting the programme directors and administrator in day-to-day decision making whilst also helping to coordinate and undertake activities such as assessment design, marking, moderation, programme development and student supervision.

Essential requirements include a postgraduate degree, relevant professional qualification or equivalent professional experience (ideally in an area of programme delivery), and experience of undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Teaching oriented qualifications (e.g., PGCap) and experience in the design or delivery online learning are also highly desirable.

The post is available immediately for three years. Starting salary will be in the range £37,411 to £44,015 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
