Job details

Dementia is the biggest health challenge of our century. To date, there is no way to prevent it or even slow its progression, and there is an urgent need to fill the knowledge gap in our basic understanding of the diseases that cause it.

The UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) is the biggest UK initiative driving forward research to fill this gap.

The UK DRI Headquarters team is based at UCL yet works across all six of the UK DRI host institutions. Collectively the HQ team is responsible for making the distributed UK DRI community function as a single institute, with a shared culture of intensely collaborative research.

We are seeking an individual with substantial experience of QQR assessment and reporting processes to advise, coordinate and draft our QQR submission. This will include providing expert advice to colleagues across the UK DRI, ensuring internal and external deadlines relating to the QQR process are met, and synthesizing multiple contributions into cohesive QQR documents.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be familiar with UK-based QQR assessment and reporting processes, science-literate and comfortable with scientific concepts, jargon and contemporary themes. They will have strong writing skills, with the ability to generate interesting, compelling, concise writing that conveys complex concepts in an elegant and consistent style.

How to apply

Please submit a written statement outlining your interest in the role and experience to date, a current CV, and your expectations in relation to remuneration to Laura Allum, UK DRI Head of HR (l.allum@ukdri.ucl.ac.uk).
