The Early Career Researcher Conference is hosted by the Alzheimer's Research UK North-West Network and is based at the University of Manchester. The day will be a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues from different institutions within the North-West Network.
All PhD students, postdocs and research technicians are welcome to attend.
The focus of this event will be on scientific careers and skills which are relevant to early career researchers. There will be a panel discussion with guest speakers showcasing a range of different science-related careers outside of academia, and a dedicated session on how to secure a research fellowship. The speakers will offer specific insights on how to tailor a fellowship application for dementia and neuroscience related funding bodies, including ARUK.
